My name is Alecia Laing and I am a Jamaican. I live in Boston Massachusetts. I am a registered nurse with 40 years experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing, Home Care and Case Management specializing in Discharge Planning.

By now, you have seen images of the devastation that the Category 5 Hurricane Melissa has caused. I have gathered a team and will be traveling to Jamaica to aid in the relief efforts. I am collecting funds to help those in need. So many have been impacted by the storm and I hope this gesture will help to relieve suffering. I will personally be responsible for allocating the funds that are collected that they will go to the most needy.
