We are saddened to inform you that Alexeyia Garrido tragically lost her life on Monday night.

There are no words to express the depths of our grief at this time. Alexeyia had a nurturing and very loving spirit. She was beautiful, smart, and talented. Whether it be learning a new instrument or engaging in a new sport, Alexeyia excelled at everything she did. Academically she was a super star, constant honor roll recognitions and high scoring grades. As her family, we were extremely proud of her. Her death was unexpected and has created a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We are reaching out to you all to ask for help with funeral costs. We are thankful for every and any donation.

Due to the events surrounding Alexeyia’s death we feel obligated to raise awareness about mental health. We don’t know what that looks like in its totality but this is a good place to start. We ask that you care for one another and lend a helping hand when needed. Don’t take someone’s smile as a sign they are well, check on your loved ones frequently. Be intentional in all your relationships. You don’t know the impact you have on someone’s life, good or bad. So seek to always do good. Seek to always forgive. Talk about your feelings and remember that there is no problem that does not have a solution. You are an important part of Gods design. God bless you.
