Hello All,

I am Brenda, and my twin sister Amy Thompson has recently been hit with a health crisis that is going to keep her from being able to work. As a sole proprietor of her own hair salon, paid time off is not a reality she gets to experience. After several visits the ER last weekend, she was finally diagnosed with shingles. It is affecting not only her face, scalp and eye, it has also crossed the brain barrier causing a case of Meningitis. While she is getting excellent care in the ICU at the hospital, she is looking at a lot of medical expenses and a long recovery before she is physically able to return to her salon. Her husband Dave is going back to work so as to not have to also take unpaid PTO, and her sons will be caring for her as well. She is going to be in Isolation for quite a bit so they also will be the only ones who will be able to support her directly.

This is a hard time for everyone right now, so sending love and prayers are very much appreciated. If you have extra to spare, anything would be hugely appreciated. Sharing this fundraiser is also helpful. I will do my best to update the page as she recovers as well. Thank you all so very much!
