Help us with Angel's extensive medical needs

Update 11/5/2024: Angel has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3 (beginning). Her potassium level as it was at Metro er was low again so she is now on a supplement for that. She is still no longer a candidate for radiation treatment for the cancer. We follow up in one week and are awaiting a call regarding the results of her urine culture to see if the kidney inflammation acute is still present. While each cat's progression from one stage to the next (4th is final) is different, it could be weeks or years. Today's visit including the potassium medication was over 400 dollars so we continue to benefit from financial assistance. Thank you to all of you for your support!

Update 10/25/2024: Angel is “stable” enough to be home so Zach picked her up from VRC. This was her second emergency room visit in a month. Her updated diagnoses: pyelonephristis, chronic kidney disease stage unknown, hemorrhagic cancerous mass on the cerebellum non operable, UTI, and mild cardiac disease-focal bulge in basilar inter ventricular septum. Due to the Chronic kidney disease she can no longer get radiation. She will be continuing antibiotic therapy for 6 weeks. she is also on a pain medicine and will continue with the prednisone for the cancerous tumor. It is difficult to say how her kidney disease will progress which is why she will need to have regular follow ups starting in a week. Our pet insurance denied our claim and since we work in the nonprofit sector and higher ed/contract, we are fundraising to help offset costs. Ashley has had Angel for 11 years and she is truly her fur baby while Angel is convinced Zach is her boyfriend.
