Dear Friends and Family,
We hope this email finds you and your family doing well.
I am writing regarding my Aunt, Ann Antonie, who has recently received a diagnosis of T-Cell Lymphoma, affecting both Cutaneous (Skin) and Lymph Nodes.
My grandmother bore eight children, with my mother as the eldest. Ann, the youngest of my grandmother's children, and I are of the same age. We were raised together on the island of Trinidad and Tobago, where she presently resides. Our strong rapport often caused individuals to mistake us for siblings. I had the honor of serving as her maid of honor during her wedding, and she reciprocated the sentiment at my own wedding. "She is the sister I never had."
We have identified a medical facility in Miami, Florida, that offers access to clinical trials for her specific condition. However, it is pertinent to note that she would be liable for the USD costs associated with PET scans, bloodwork, etc., which are essential for the trial procedure.
Below, you will find additional information highlighting the disease:
T-Cell Lymphomas are a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that can develop in lymphoid tissues such as the lymph nodes and spleen or outside of lymphoid tissues (e.g., gastrointestinal tract, liver, nasal cavity, skin, and others). According to the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program, T-cell lymphomas account for about seven percent of all NHLs in the United States. Each particular subtype of T-cell lymphoma is very uncommon. They can be aggressive (fast-growing) or indolent (slow-growing).
A similar lymphocyte called a natural killer (NK) cell shares many features with T cells. When NK cells become cancerous, the cancer is called NK or NK/T-cell lymphoma and is generally grouped with other T-cell lymphomas.
Your assistance is vital to our endeavors to provide a resilient mother, sister, aunt, friend, and mentor with a fighting chance against this ailment. We would greatly appreciate your consideration of making a donation to support us in fulfilling our mission.
We humbly thank you in advance. We extend our heartfelt gratitude in anticipation of your generous contribution.
God Bless,
