Help Ava Makeover Her Church Youth Room

Hi family and friends! Ava here! I was planning on finishing up my Girl Scout journey with the completion of my Gold Award this summer. However, due to some circumstances outside of my control I was not able to meet some of the deadlines and requirements. However, I made a commitment to myself and the members of my church, so I have decided to complete the work I had planned, although on a slightly smaller scale. Although I won't earn the Girl Scout Gold Award, I will feel a sense of accomplishment in helping my community and the youth at my church.

The project I am working on is to inject some new life and rejuvenate the middle school and high school youth room at my local church. It is a very large room. I am going to create an area to play games and an area to watch movies, while still keeping the functionality of the room to allow for youth group meetings. The following is what I hope to accomplish with your financial help:

1. Freshen up the room with a fresh coat of paint

2. Paint a colorful mural on the walls

3. Purchase a retro full-size arcade game (Ms Pac-Man)

4. Purchase some board games

5. Add game room wall decor

6. Create a theater-type area for the youth to watch movies

7. Create an area for snacks

I have enlisted the help of my mom, dad, and sister. We will be working on the room over the next 3 weekends. My family and I will supply the paint and paint supplies, but the purchase of the additional items can't happen without the support of my family and friends. Anything you can donate to help complete this project will be greatly appreciated by me and other youth at my church.
