I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt appeal for support for my gender-affirming care. Accessing gender-affirming care if you live in the Global South can be a big challenge. Unfortunately, I have encountered significant obstacles in my journey towards receiving the care I need for my transition. From having to consult physicians abroad, purchasing, shipping, and often getting my life-saving medication seized, my access to healthcare is constantly threatened.

Despite my efforts to purchase and get access to my gender-affirming care these last weeks, the costs to cover both buying and shipping my medication into Ghana have been substantial and largely exceeded my budget.

Gender-affirming care is vital for my health and overall well-being and each day that passes without access to this care is a reminder of the struggles I face in aligning my body with my true self.

I am launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds that will help cover the expenses related to my consultation with a physician and psychotherapist as well as the purchase, and safe shipment of my gender-affirming care medication to Ghana.
