Donate to Brenda Sinche's Kidney Treatment

Hello everyone! I’m reaching out to share my mother’s ongoing health journey. My mom, Brenda Sinche, was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in 2019. CKD is a condition that damages the kidneys, preventing them from filtering blood properly. This causes waste and fluid to build up in the body. However, CKD is just the beginning of my mother’s medical struggles. It all started in 2015 when she was diagnosed with diabetes. Over time, as medications were prescribed, her new medical team discovered that she never actually had diabetes! Unfortunately, by then, the damage from years of unnecessary medication had already taken a severe toll on her kidneys. Because of the misinformation from previous doctors, we didn’t even know my mom had CKD until her kidney function was at just 15%, and it was quickly declining.

My family and I have been fighting to get my mom the proper care to address the damage caused by her kidney disease. She is now at stage 5 renal kidney disease, with kidney function at only 6%. Because of this, she started dialysis in September 2022. My mom and her main caregiver, my dad, wake up at 3 a.m. three days a week to make it to her dialysis appointments at 5 a.m. While she has been fortunate enough to still enjoy some of the activities she loves, dialysis has definitely presented its challenges.

Although my mom was eligible to be placed on the kidney transplant list, she still requires dialysis to maintain her day-to-day living. Unfortunately, she has been denied Medicaid, which would typically help cover the cost of her dialysis. As a result, we are now left to pay out of pocket for her treatments. Dialysis is required 3-4 times a week, and the financial burden is overwhelming.

This is where we need your help. We’ve created this GoFundMe with the goal of raising enough money to cover the cost of her dialysis treatments. We’re asking our friends and family, if they are able, to contribute to help us cover these expenses. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference. This journey is going to be a long process, but we are staying positive and committed to supporting my mom in any way we can. Thank you all for your love, support, and generosity.
