Empowering Voices, Transforming Lives: The Campaign for a Brighter Future

The Harrington family has been serving the Northern Colorado community for fifteen years. Having to start over again in 2023 has been logistically challenging, moving into 9 different locations so we can continue the important work we do for our community. We have found a 10,000 sq ft building we are planning to purchase and build our dream theatre that will serve the entire Northern Colorado community. Help us continue our legacy and expand our reach by providing a safe space in Larimer County and beyond by donating to our Capital Campaign.

Our Mission

Find Your Light Mental Wellness (FYL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth and adults through the transformative power of the performing arts. We believe in the potential of every individual to shine, and we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring space where people can be their authentic selves. Through theater, dance, music, writing and spoken word, we cultivate confidence, creativity, and community.

The Challenge

Across Northern Colorado, thousands of youth and adults face obstacles that hinder their personal growth. Lack of access to positive outlets, safe environments, and opportunities to explore their creative potential often leads to a decline in mental wellness. Colorado ranks 43rd in the country for mental health issues and lack of resources. Our programs have proven to be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change. However, our current facilities and resources limit our ability to serve our growing community.

The Vision

FYL is launching an ambitious $2 million capital campaign to purchase a building our community can call a forever home. This building will serve as a creative hub for the Northern Colorado community. With your support, we can expand our reach and amplify our impact, offering more people the opportunity to experience the life-changing

benefits of the performing arts.

Our Goals:

1. Purchase a building:

◦ Build a 300-seat performance theater

that will host community performances,

workshops, and guest artist events.

◦ Build rehearsal and classroom spaces,

ensuring our students have room to

explore their artistic passions.

◦ Build an actor’s green room that will

have mirrors and dressings rooms.

2. Increase Program Capacity:

◦ Double the number of performers

enrolled in our programs, from 250 to

500 annually, with additional classes in

dance, acting, and musical theater.

◦ Launch new workshops using

performing arts as a tool for developing

public speaking and leadership skills.

◦ With a 10,000 sq ft building, new

programs can be established.

3. Establish a Community Hub:

◦ Create a welcoming space that invites

collaboration among artists, families,

and residents, becoming a cornerstone

for community engagement and

celebration.

◦ Offer more free and low-cost programs

to ensure everyone has access to the arts.
