Hi, I’m Lauren and am hoping to help out one of the most generous and kind friends you could ever have.

Carmen Clark is the person who will give you her sweater if you’re cold. She is the person who will have homemade chicken noodle soup ready when you’re sick. Carmen gives the world’s best hugs and listens with empathy. If you know Carmen, you know what a gift her love and friendship is.

Unfortunately, her landlord has decided unexpectedly to end the lease and move into the home she and her roommates have shared for years. It has meant she and her roommates are scrambling to find a new place they can move into immediately.

To add onto the stress of an unexpected move are the added expenses of security deposits, moving supplies and truck, and an increase in rent.

We all know the strain of surprise expenses and how financially draining a move can be. We also know how awful this economy is with many of us living paycheck to paycheck just to keep warm, fed, and under a safe roof.

I am hoping to help Carmen and her roommates have enough money for a deposit and moving expenses.
