Donate to Chris Stofa's Medical and Travel Expenses

For those of you who know who Chris Stofa is, you know he would give you the shirt off his back in a time of need. You may also know that he has had a long-time battle with Amyloidosis and was recently told he was in full remission in 2024.

Unfortunately for the Stofa family, Chris woke up on January 9, 2025, with no symptoms other than a fever, and that afternoon he went into sudden cardiac arrest. Chris was transported to Nathan Littauer Hospital with no known cause of the cardiac arrest. After many tests came back, Chris was diagnosed with sepsis with an unknown source. Chris was transported to Albany Medical Center that same night where he was put in the ICU. Friday, January 10, 2025, he had made no progress. He was still unable to regulate, still no known cause, and his sepsis numbers were rising and his body was not responding to medical treatment. On Saturday, January 11, 2025, Chris’s condition took a turn. With still no known cause for sepsis, Chris had to be emergency intubated and sedated with no prognosis and no source for going septic. Chris will remain in Albany Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit until further notice under 24/7 observation.

Please consider donating to the Stofa family. Funds will assist the family with paying for Chris’s medical bills, hotel stay for the family to stay near Chris at Albany Medical Center, as well as other expenses needed for family to travel to be with him.
