The Winnie family has been deeply moved by the outpouring of love, support, and generosity during this heartbreaking time. The kindness shown by friends, family, and the community has provided immense comfort as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

As they work to honor Christian’s life in the way he deserves, they have encountered unexpected financial challenges, including the costs of bringing him home from Mexico, legal processes, and funeral arrangements. Due to these unforeseen expenses, the family has increased their fundraising goal to $30,000 to ensure Christian receives the farewell he deserves.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Imperial Beach local Christian Winnie at the young age of 26.

Christian was a championship wrestler in high school, graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt & was such a free, kindhearted, adventurous soul. He was an amazing son, brother, nephew, cousin & friend who brought so much love and light into our lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As we come to terms with Christian’s passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell. We want to give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves, but unfortunately, the financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming for our family during this already challenging time.

Funds raised will go towards trAnsportation, funeral services & memorial arrangements. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference.
