It's me, Christy. I have just been released from the hospital after 5 long months. I am trying to raise money for my hospital bills as well as my rent and groceries. I am now in North Carolina. I have applied for help here for Medicaid, food stamps, and disability, but it will take some time as I have to get my ID, social security card, etc.

As most of you know, I have struggled with addiction for quite some time now. As a result of my addiction, I ended up with endocarditis and had to have open-heart surgery and be put on dialysis. I am in stage 4 renal disease. I have been off heroin for 4 1/2 years, crack for a year, and Suboxone for a year.

Due to being in the hospital so long, my bills have fallen way behind and I have several expensive hospital bills. I am unable to work due to my condition.
