To help cover memorial costs for Maranda Mathis
Donation protected
Dear friends and family of the 118th Wing and 218th Cyber ISR Group - Today, we are mourning as one of our own is hurting. The 218th ISRG's TSgt Fallon Swan (previously Dortch) lost her cousin, Maranda Mathis, in the horrific shootings that occurred in Uvalde, TX. Maranda was an 11-year old, 4th-grade student at Robb Elementary.
From Maranda's Obituary:
"Maranda had a huge loving heart. She was sweet, smart and a shy tom boy who enjoyed being within nature and spending time outdoors. Those who knew Maranda, knew her great imagination and often expressed her love for unicorns and mermaids, especially if they were her favorite color purple."
Our hearts are broken as we strive to make sense of what is a senseless act. Prayers and thoughts are both meaningful and appreciated. Additionally, Fallon's family is struggling to cover unplanned funeral costs. Maranda's final resting place will be on her Great Grandmother Margie's land in Uvalde, a place where Maranda spent many loving days and joyful weekends with family. The family is specifically requesting help in purchasing a memorial stone to commemorate Maranda's life and mark her burial place on her Great Grandmother's land.
Through TSgt Swan, this family is an extension of our larger Guard family. Please consider donating as you are able. Your sharing this fundraiser to others is also appreciated.
Our collective love goes out to Fallon and her extended family.
