Crystal Wheeler's Fight for Life

I’m fundraising for my beautiful friend Crystal Wheeler who was just recently diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer that has spread to her ovaries and uterus. Crystal is the most selfless person I know and really deserves a little bit of help through this fight she is up against. They say bad things come in threes, right? Well, in her case, it has! Shortly after her diagnosis, her house caught on fire and she and her family have been living in a hotel and eating out for obvious reasons. She just finally moved back into her home last Sunday but has had a VERY difficult time finding a contractor and her home owners insurance policy will only cover a certain amount. The third bad thing was her husband was just let go from his job a month before his year anniversary where he had planned to take FMLA because that’s when he would have qualified for it. Crystal is not only a wife but she’s a mom of 4 school-aged children. She is the rock, the glue to her family.

Currently, Crystal started radiation this past Monday and will have radiation Monday-Friday and chemotherapy every Thursday. Yesterday was her first chemo treatment and I guess you could say another unfortunate event happened.

Yesterday while receiving her first cisplatin chemo treatment, she had an allergic reaction and they think she may be allergic to all chemo due to the platinum in it. So now she waits for a new plan. Which they are discussing carbonation treatment.

I ask everyone I know if you have it in your heart to help her in any way now is the time. I know she would greatly appreciate it.
