Donate to Dan to help rebuild

Hello, my name is Karli Kididis and I manage The Hungarian Butcher. Dan, Gaby, Rosie, Chelsea, Mia and I all appreciate the outpouring of love and support from everyone. It’s been overwhelming, to say the least, to know how impactful the shop has been to everyone since it opened in November, 2021. As you all know, this is Chef Dan Varga’s passion.

As we are navigating the insurance claim process, we are discovering more and more incremental losses. As many of the community members, customers, friends, family and neighbors have suggested, we are setting up this GoFundMe to help Dan get through this. Should this fundraiser exceed the needs of the rebuild, we will give back to the community with any overages.

As of right now, the remediation company has started their job in the shop. Unfortunately, the soot and smoke damage is quite extensive and will require a thorough clean of everything. Until this is completed and inspected, the shop will remain closed. We will keep everyone updated as we get a better handle on the timeline of completion.
