This spring, Heather Fitzwater began having some health issues that were chalked up to an ulcer. After finally talking Heather into seeing someone, she reluctantly went to Urgent Care. It was there, Heather was diagnosed with Metastatic Stage 4 Breast Cancer, just two months before her and Rodney’s wedding.
She immediately began a rigorous Chemotherapy treatment at The Pluta Cancer Center in Rochester, traveling there a minimum of 3 times per month. With the added EKGs, Echocardiograms, CT Scans, and other necessary testing, the medical bills and travel expenses are piling up.
On top of this, Heather’s treatments are affecting her physically where she retains fluid as a response to chemotherapy. This has made it so she is unable to get to the second story of her home and extremely difficult to get in or out of their current vehicle. It is now an immediate and necessary need to move to single floor living as well as a different vehicle. She will also need the bathroom to be remodeled to accommodate her, and a ramp built for access into her home.
Anyone who knows Heather knows she is stubborn in asking for help, so we are asking for her.
