Donate to Ease Sarah's Burden

Hi, I am Sarah's friend Therese and I am writing to you about Sarah Byrne, our incredible friend, partner, sister, and mom who is going through a very difficult period. After years of dedicated work as a federal employee, she was unexpectedly laid off due to the closure of USAID—right before facing a major medical procedure that will require a long recovery over a period of several months.

As she heals, she will need support to provide care for her daughter Shiloh, cook, clean, or look for work and will need time to rest and rebuild. Her husband Nebeyou’s union apprenticeship has very early hours making it difficult for him to fill in the gaps Sarah’s recovery will need filled. With no steady income and everyday expenses piling up, as her community of friends we’re reaching out for support. Every donation, big or small, will help cover her essential needs and give her the peace of mind to focus on getting better.
