With a heavy heart, I’m reaching out to ask for support for my mentor, my teacher, and my dear friend, Stacy devoy. She has been the person who taught me everything I know about animals, shaping me into the person I am today. Her vast knowledge, strength, wit, and unwavering determination have not only influenced my life but the lives of so many others.

This incredible woman is now in hospice care, battling terminal brain cancer. Her time is incredibly limited, and as she faces this painful final chapter, I want to do everything I can to help her in any way possible.

She has always been a beacon of strength, a woman who stood tall in the face of every challenge, and who poured her heart and soul into everything she did. From teaching me the intricacies of the animal world to shaping my values and character, her influence is immeasurable and has lead me to finding my passion and career in this field. Her courage and spirit have always been a guiding light, and now, as she nears the end of her journey, I want to ensure she is surrounded by love, comfort, and support.

As much as she has given to the world, she deserves help in return. She has poured countless hours into guiding and supporting others, often putting herself last. She’s always been there for me — with advice, encouragement, and even just the right word at the right moment — and now it’s my turn to give back.
