Donate to El Cerrito Poet Laureate Legacy Fund

The El Cerrito Poet Laureate Legacy Fund supports poetry programs in the El Cerrito schools for the 2024-25 school year. Your gift will go to the El Cerrito Community Foundation, the charity that is overseeing this fund.

Acclaimed poet and native resident, Tess Taylor, is El Cerrito’s 2024 Poet Laureate. Her term will run from April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025, and she is the fourth person to serve in this role. As poet laureate, Taylor’s sights are set on enhancing opportunities for El Cerrito students and others by fostering creativity, building skills, and establishing valuable connections.

We are funded through 2024-25 through a generous grant from the Mellon Foundation and The Academy of American Poets. Your donation will continue to support these activities for school children into future years.
