Donate to Ellie's List: Empower Classrooms

Hello! I'm Aurelia, though everyone calls me Ellie. Back in second grade, I vividly remember my mom shopping not just for me, but for my entire class. She bought stacks of school supplies—crayons, scissors, paper, markers, glue, you name it—all for our teacher. She explained that teachers often dip into their own pockets, especially mid-year, to cover classroom needs that the school budget can't stretch to meet.

Since then, I've been deeply struck by this reality. I wanted to find a way to ease this burden on teachers and give back to those who dedicate so much to educating us. That's why I started "Ellie's List," a project aimed at helping bridge this gap in educational resources. Even if I can make a difference for just one teacher, I'll feel like I've made a positive impact. Thank you for joining me on this journey!

"Ellie's List" welcomes donations of any size—even $1 can make a difference! We believe in the vital role teachers play in shaping our society, and we invite everyone who shares this belief to support our cause.

Teachers can visit our website to apply for the supplies they need, whether it's pencils, paint, or anything else essential for their classrooms. Once approved, the supplies will be shipped directly from Amazon to their schools, ensuring quick and efficient delivery. Together, we can make sure educators have the tools they need to inspire and educate our future generations.

Two years ago, at the age of twelve, I embarked on this project with a passion for providing access to art supplies for every child. As an artist myself, I understand the importance of having tools like markers and crayons to express creativity. Reflecting on my own experiences, I remember fundraising with my mother to supply art materials and teachers to New York City's largest shelter for homeless individuals.

Now fourteen years old and a junior at Professional Children's School, I continue to be deeply committed to art, science, and nurturing younger children. Art, for me, is not just a hobby but a vital part of learning and self-expression. Each day, I find joy in creating art and believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity through artistic endeavors.
