Donate to Elliott's Legal Name Change Fund

Hi there!

I'm fundraising for my legal name change. I've been putting it off for a long time, despite going by Elliott for about 7 years now, for a couple reasons.

One, it's a lot of time, energy, and paperwork to change your name. I also haven't always had a job that allowed me to go to court in the middle of the week.

Two, and what's most relevant here, is that the cost of a name change has been prohibitive for me.

However, I am about to be able to get full social work licensure and I would really like to change my name before that point to minimize confusion and being outed as trans.

This is where you come in! Please consider donating and/or sharing my fundraiser to help me afford my name change.

Cost breakdown:

-$201.50 to file court petition and receive one certified copy.

-$10 for two more certified copies: needed to change other documents

-$54 to get a new state ID

-$34.50 left over for travel and other potential unexpected small costs
