Scarlett’s Service Dog
Donation protected
Hi friends!
*I’m starting this go fund me for those of you that don’t feel comfortable donating to a cash app.
Most of you know that my three year old daughter was diagnosed with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. Her diagnosis was delayed, as we visited countless doctors who didn’t believe anything was wrong.
There are MANY types and classifications of cerebral palsy; Scarlett’s effects mostly her legs.
She has high tone, which essentially means she is “tight” and lacks the ability to move her legs fluidly.
As many of you have seen, we work weekly with our amazing PT’s to help her brain “learn a new way” to help her body do things.
While we refuse to let this diagnosis define her, we are also aware that Scarlett’s life is not going to be the easiest.
We are DETERMINED to help her live her life to the fullest, and we firmly believe that service dog would not only enrich her life mentally and emotionally, but would greatly impact her day to day life with the help of object retrieval, bracing/mobility work/etc.
Why a service dog? If you know anything about Scarlett, you know she is DOG obsessed and we honestly, truly believe that a service dog would be the best fit for her.
In the words of her physical therapist, she is different, NOT less.
Which brings me to my next goal:
Anything donated that exceeds our goal amount will be directly donated to the Crescent Moon Cares Foundation.
This nonprofit provides grants to special needs children to help with adaptive equipment, intensives, camps, etc.
The total cost includes:
An amazing puppy from Wheatland Retrievers
Two additional months of training for the puppy to receive a head start
