Hi, I am Candace Skurnik, the mom of Ethan Kummerer, who this GoFundMe is all about. I am looking to help him receive donations to offset medical expenses and lost wages of $10,000.

Ethan has had some difficult years and he has pulled himself through it and landed a great job. However, he has recently been faced with two operations just a week apart and has been in the hospital for over three weeks. He had his appendix burst. It wasn’t immediately recognized as a burst appendix and it was 5 days before they operated. He was released home, but was back in the hospital in just a few days in extreme pain. After pushing IV antibiotics for a few days, they couldn’t get the inflammation down in his colon. His second surgery cut out part of the colon that was inflamed and resectioned the colon. This kind of surgery, especially now he has had 2 in the same area, will take some days or weeks to heal enough to return to work.

He has a good job, however, he hasn’t worked long enough to have any amount of paid vacation days to help offset not being able to work.

If you know Ethan, you know he is a great guy who has always helped friends and family in any way he can. I am now asking if you can assist him become whole.

He has worked so hard to get to where he was before these medical issues sidetracked him. He wants to pay his bills and get strong enough to return to work. I know that it isn’t always possible to contribute much. However, even $5.00 with many contributions will help us reach our goal.
