Donate to Fallen Firefighter’s Two Daughters

Hi, my name is Lacey Jones and I am fundraising on behalf of my late nephew’s two daughters, Brooklyn age 7 and Trezley age 4. Blain Sonnenberg Jr is one of the four wildland firefighters who tragically lost their lives on September 19th while travelling home from fighting forest fires near Fort St James. Blain was a proud Indigenous man who was from the Sts’ailes First Nation with ties to the Snuneymuxw First Nation on his mothers side. Our family has created this GoFundMe with hopes to raise funds to support his two beautiful daughters as sadly he is no longer here to provide for them. Raising children today, in a time when we are experiencing a rapid rise of food/basic needs costs, is difficult for many parents. Donations received from this fundraiser will help to alleviate some of this financial stress for Brooklyn and Trezley’s mother, who is now the sole provider for their beautiful children, so that they can focus on grieving the loss of their dad who was an incredible hero and such a loving, protective, and caring man.
