Donate to Feed Newport's Flood-Affected Community
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mike, and I run a hotdog cart in Newport, Tennessee, called "Hotdogs and Vittles." Recently, our community has been severely impacted by flooding from the heavy rains that overflowed the three large rivers running through our county. The damage has been devastating. While my family and I were fortunate to live just a few blocks away from the worst of the flooding and are safe, many of our neighbors are without water, power, and in some cases, even their homes.
Our town won’t have water services restored for at least a few weeks, and many people are stepping up to provide food and water to those in need. I want to help by using my hotdog cart to serve hot meals to the community. My cart is easy to operate and requires minimal resources—just propane and about five gallons of water.
I’m raising money to help feed as many people as I can. All donations will go directly toward providing free meals to anyone who needs them for as long as the support lasts. Please consider donating to help us serve Newport during this difficult time. Every little bit helps.
Here’s what we’ll be purchasing with donations:
Water
Hotdogs
Baked beans
Chips
Chili
Food trays
Wet wipe packs
Propane for cooking
Thank you for your support!
