Gustavo Alvarez is a landscaper who lives in Boyle Heights. He lives near the 6th St. bridge in Downtown LA. The bridge lately hasn't been the cleanest. It looks like the city has pretty much abandoned it, especially the walking path and the bicycle lanes. Glass and trash are everywhere. On April 15th, Gustavo Alvarez decided to take matters into his own hands. He brought his leaf blower and started blowing all the trash from the 6th St. Bridge. He is not a city worker or a contractor for the city. He is just a person who enjoys walking the bridge with his son whenever he gets the opportunity. There is a video that got some attention of him cleaning the bridge. It seems that there are people who want to express some gratitude. The GoFundMe is to help Gustavo get an apartment and upgrade some old tools that will help with his landscaping work.
