Donate to Heal Georgia's Growing Heart

My name is Tricia, and I have been beautifully and graciously asked by my cousin to create a GoFundMe for my daughter Georgia. She overwhelmed my heart when she said that she and her future husband would like to donate money in order to help with Georgia's medical expenses. My heart burst that they would be so generous when I wouldn’t even dream of asking people for help. But through conversation with her, and simply knowing that whenever my family is in need there are always people who are willing to bless us in unbelievable ways, I have decided to jump out of my comfort zone and specifically ask for help.

Georgia was born with holes in her heart, much like many babies, but unfortunately, these holes are not only not closing, they are growing larger. When we went for our annual cardiology appointment and the doctor told me that we needed to consider surgery, my heart completely sank! What?! Are you sure? But through her guidance and the second opinion of a surgeon, Georgia does in fact need these holes repaired sooner rather than later. In addition to the typical symptoms, Georgia also suffers from horrible headaches, which may actually have a direct correlation to the blood flow in her heart. Therefore, having this surgery sooner rather than later would be ideal because if this has the possibility of putting an end to her pain, then I am all for it!

I am asking for help because right now we are surviving on a single mom's income, as well as the love and support of family! And although I consider myself very blessed, the financial burden is piling up.

Specifically, I am worried about:

- The cost of the surgery that insurance will not cover.

- Travel and food expenses while we are in the city for the pre-op, surgery, and post-op.

- The approximate 7 days without pay for that time.

While I am confident that God will have His hand on my finances and make a way, I am also aware that sometimes I need to humble myself and ask for help when I am struggling!

I am so grateful for the people in my life who continue to bless us with monetary gifts and prayer. We certainly are a loved family! And I would ask for continued prayer for Georgia as her little heart prepares for this surgery and for the surgeon, that God would work through him to heal her completely with no complications!
