My name is Anoushka, I live in Canada. I am starting a fundraising to support my mum who is going through a very tough financial situation in the democratic republic of Congo. Last year, two of my mum’s younger sisters passed away and left six children under the age of ten. My mum took these kids under her care as they were left with neither mum nor a dad. However, she has not been able to work for months due to the war going on in the eastern part of the democratic republic of Congo. This situation has put her in a tough financial struggle. Providing the kids, paying the bills, and taking care of her own ill mother while not having a job is hard. Unable to pay rent, they now live in a broken-down abandoned house. Everything is a struggle, even meeting basic needs like buying food and clothing. The kids cannot go to school as there is no money to pay for the monthly school fees. I am starting this fundraising with the hope of collecting enough money so they can find a place to stay, buy food and pay for the kids’ school fees. Your contribution will be helpful.
