Donate to help a family from Gaza

Salaam friends,

This page has been created to support Mai el Bayouk and her family. Mai is a mother to four children and they are from Khan Yunis in the south of the Gaza Strip. Mai had left Gaza with her oldest son 3 days before the war and went to Egypt to join the College of Medicine, where her son was due to start his studies. The war broke out and they got stuck in Egypt while my family remained in Gaza. After much suffering and displacement, Mai's three other children were able to evacuate and join her and her oldest son in Cairo, and some months later, after raising the funds for the evacuation fee on this page, her husband too was able to evacuate. They are now living in Cairo, and this page is to support them in two main things:

1) to help Mai's oldest son Ahmed cover his university expenses in Cairo, which are $3,000 per year (plus books)

2) to raise urgent funds for Mai's husband's parents, and his siblings and their families who are still in Gaza. Their parents are elderly and currently living in a basic tent with none of the essential resources they need to live. The whole family is suffering a lot and they need funds for basic survival expenses.

It is very hard for the family to send messages and photos, but below are some pictures they have managed to send; they show the difficulty of life in tents, the struggle to even find water, and the destruction of homes, hospitals, and all buildings.
