Donate to help Albert in his stroke recovery

Dear Friends & Family,

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my father, Albert Everette Jr. As some of you know it has been a very challenging year for him. He has recently suffered from his 3rd stroke and the severity of this stroke has changed his life. He is currently in stroke recovery and rehabilitation. Although it is an uphill battle, his determination and the love, care and patience of his family give us hope for continued improvement. Part of recovering from his stroke involves changing the physical environment in which he lives and providing round-the-clock care and therapy. There are a lot of out-of-pocket expenses not only for medical recovery but for reconfiguring his home, his mobility and many other facets of his life. The goal of this fundraiser is to help with medical expenses, reconfiguring the home for disabilities, and rehabilitation services. Here are some examples of out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered under his insurance: a walker, part of his wheelchair, and his ongoing rehabilitation therapies such as speech, occupational and physical therapy. Just to get his bathroom to meet ADA standards has cost the family over $10,000 so far. Your contributions, even a small amount, would be tremendously helpful for my dad and his recovery.
