Donate to help Aleksys & family through treatment

On October 19, 2023, after feeling unwell on and off for a few weeks with headaches, nausea, and vomiting, Aleksys was taken to Ridge Meadows Hospital.
Within a few hours, Jennifer was given the news that no mother could ever imagine receiving, that Aleksys had Leukemia, cancer of the blood. They were taken to BC Children's Hospital by ambulance to confirm the diagnoses through a bone marrow biopsy and on October 20, 2023, Aleksys was diagnosed with Acute AML Leukemia.
Aleksys would immediately start her first cycle of chemotherapy the next day, with many more cycles of treatments to follow.
In just 3 weeks, Lexi has already been through so much. MRIs, ultrasounds, weekly lumber punctures and multiple blood transfusions are just the beginning. Her brothers and sister and her parents have recently been tested to see if they could be a possible bone marrow donor.
It has been hard on her, but if anyone knows Lexi she is a fighter, this is something no child should ever have to go through.
The treatment plan for Aleksys will require her to stay at Children's Hospital for her chemotherapy treatments, the family has been told to prepare for the next 6 to 9 months if not longer. Jennifer has been beside her 24/7 and she will continue to do so for the entire duration of her treatments.
A lot of people have asked how they can help the family during this time. Jennifer who is also a mother to three other children, has taken a leave of absence at work to care for her daughter. We are asking for donations to help keep their household operating during this difficult time and for anything Aleksys may need.
Anything can help and be a blessing to this family.
There are many other ways to show support, be it financial, a cooked meal, words of support, or even a prayer.
Aleksys and the family have a strong faith in the Lord. They are asking everyone to please keep Aleksys in their prayers for a complete and full recovery! As well as strength for all of them during this time.
