Donate to help Angel Anthony Cortez

Hi, my name is Eric, and I am fundraising for my nephew, Angel Anthony Cortez.

On Jan. 9, he was admitted into Christus San Marcos, where he quickly lost the ability to use his arm and legs. Shortly thereafter he lost the ability to breathe on his own and was placed on a ventilator. Doctors later diagnosed him with Guillain-Barre syndrome.

For more than two weeks, Angel was on the ventilator and initially on IVIg for treatment.

It was then determined that he be transferred to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, in the Medical Center, so he could have access to an in-house neurologist. He was then placed on plasmapheresis, when he started showing improvement.

As Angel begins to recuperate, he knows that he has a long road ahead of him. He has made significant progress and will hopefully be transferred to a rehab facility soon. There he will learn to walk again and hopefully regain his normal functions.

Because his mom has limited paid FMLA and PTO, plus Angel's expenses, we are asking for your help, during his time of need. We thank you in advance for your consideration.
