Hi, my name is Brandy Rassi. I started this fundraiser for my cousin Brandy Blacet and her fantastic partner in life, Arbie. A few months ago, Arbie was having severe back and leg pain. She was visiting prompt care and the ER frequently for pain management. Finally, she was referred to an orthopedic doctor who discovered a herniated disk. They treated it with two corticosteroid epidural injections a couple of weeks apart. Instead of pain relief, the pain started to get more severe. She would move from the bed to the guest bed, the couch, the basement sofa, and even the floor all night long to find comfort. Then she started complaining about feeling her heart racing and experiencing shortness of breath. It got so bad she couldn't make it from the living room to the kitchen without her heart rate reaching 150s, and she would lean on the counter breathing hard. Then she started falling at work and while out of the house. This time, she revisited the ER; they were more attentive to her heart rate (180) and breathing (oxygen 74). On March 31st, she was admitted, and after many tests leading up to an MRI on her spine, metastatic spinal lesions were located. Many of you know in 2018, Arbie battled stage 3 breast cancer and made her way into remission. Unfortunately, shortly after the breast cancer diagnosis, they found a separate stage 1 ovarian cancer. The tumor markers from ovarian cancer are high, indicating that the spinal metastasis is from ovarian cancer (biopsy pending). Her breathing and heart rate become incredibly unstable with small movements. It causes her oxygen to plummet to the 70s and her heart rate to exceed 150, and she gets thrown into a panic attack. The family has asked if there is anything that can be done to prolong her life for even a short time so Arbie can travel, and the doctors have advised she doesn't have much time left. Any help is appreciated $1, $5, $40, prayers, and good vibes-we are accepting everything! This money will be used for all of Arbie's medical bills, lost wages, and any bills they need help with.
