Hello, My name is Amanda and Bobby is my nephew. This go fund me is being started with permission from the family.

On Friday June 21 Bobby was in a very serious accident and as his mom said “ it doesn’t matter how or why we got here, it just matters that we move forward”.

Bobby sustained very serious injuries. Major trauma to the brain resulting in 2 brain surgeries this far, broken clavicle, collapsed lung and broken orbital bone. There is still significant swelling to Bobby’s brain, and all secondary wounds are healing as they should be. Bobby is in Victoria in the ICU listed as Critical but stable. There is significant damage to the left side of the brain which controls vocabulary and comprehension. We don’t know until we know, if he will wake up and what his capabilities will be. They are

trying to keep what Bobby would want and how he would want to live in the forefront, but feel it’s too soon to make that decision. They want time.

As most of you know and some may not Victoria is a 2.5 hour drive from their home here in port, their employer have been great in letting them take the time they need, but money doesn’t last long and I couldn’t not imagine having to make the choice about going to work to pay the bills or being with my child when they so desperately need me and I need them.

Bobby is that kid, he is the one with a permanent smile on his face, the one that will always say hi if he sees you and the one that makes you laugh. He is the kid who is a natural athlete and has had a lot of success with his wrestling, baseball and hockey. Bobby has a kind heart and a shining personality with a smile that can light up the darkest of rooms.

Darrin and Richelle, they are the parents we all strive to be. They don’t miss a thing when it comes to their children, they are always in their corner cheering them on in sports and in life. They are also the people that are there whenever they are needed or when they think you need them. They will help anyone whenever and wherever they can and they will never ask for anything in return.

Alex is the quiet one, the one with the shy smile but when you see it is shines, it makes you smile. Alex has the same warm heart that Bobby does they got that from their parents and how they raised them.

Now that you know a little bit about this family, I am here to as for help on their behalf.

This is not a short road they are on, it will be long and at times messy. Let’s do what we can to help ease the financial burden so that this family can be together and not have to worry about how to eat, where to sleep, pay bills and any other financial responsibilities and burdens they may have or those to come. Let’s help this family heal together and lean on each other while we take care of and help where we know we can.
