Hello everyone,

If you know our Dad, then you know he is one of the most selfless and compassionate men you will ever meet. In early January, at the age of 58, he became very sick and was diagnosed with a disease that will likely claim his life.

After being in and out of the hospital, there have been weekly doctor’s appointments and constant tests being done. His health has also prevented him from returning to work and expenses have been piling up quickly. We know this is only the beginning of a long road ahead.

Our Dad has always gone above and beyond for his family and community. Our whole lives, he has showered us with unconditional love and support. Our fondest memories are during our swimming days. There has never been a greater feeling than getting out of the pool and having a towel wrapped around us, receiving the biggest hug, and getting told how proud he was of us no matter the outcome of the race. He has been there to wipe away our tears in our saddest moments and celebrated with us during our biggest triumphs.

For as long as we can remember, Dad has volunteered at his local church every Thanksgiving to help prepare and distribute food to the less fortunate. He has always been very involved in his church and in more recent years he has spent more and more time donating to his community. He’s always put others before himself and we want to help get back to doing the things that he loves.

Even through this extremely emotional time, Dad has kept his spirits high and remained the gracious and loving man we all know. Since his diagnoses, Dad has been highly motivated and has made some very healthy lifestyle changes. He has showed up to every doctor’s appointment with a positive attitude and a will to live. Fortunately, because of this we have seen some improvements in his health, but that doesn’t mean the battle is won.

It is very difficult for our Dad to ask for help, so we wouldn’t be putting this out there if it wasn’t necessary. While we await more news from the doctors about his options moving forward, we are reaching out to ask for any donation; however small it may be. Anything helps and we would be extremely grateful for it.

We know that times are hard for a lot of people right now so if you could simply share our Dad’s story, we would be just as thankful.

Thank you for your support and taking the time to read our Father’s story.
