On Thursday 4/28/22, Darren was riding his bike on Mountain View Corridor and suddenly went into cardiac arrest then crashed his bike. He was found unresponsive for an unknown period of time. A few drivers saw him and immediately called 911. We are grateful for the person and the off-duty police officer that started CPR as soon as possible. He was then life flighted to the University of Utah. He had a major blockage in one his arteries that caused the cardiac arrest and had to get another stent. They were worried about brain damage so they put him in paralysis to stop his shivering from the Therapeutic Hyperthermia treatment. He has 12 fractures in his ribs and that is causing him the most pain at this moment. He is heavily sedated but we are hoping that he will wake up with minor problems. We are grateful for the healthcare workers that helped Darren and all of our family and friends messages and prayers. Please keep Darren in your thoughts and prayers.
