Help Cujo regain mobility and get back outside!

Donation protected
I’m fundraising to help cover the medical costs for my Bernese Mountain Dog, Cujo. He requires bilateral (both sides) TPLO surgery. This surgery fixes complications due to torn ACLs. Unlike humans, dogs can’t live a fully mobile, pain-free life with a torn ACL due to the difference in structural mechanics. Cujo had his first TPLO on May 4th 2022 and will have his second one done mid June 2022. Both surgeries combined will cost a total of $9,000.

Cujo is my best friend, my baby, and my hiking buddy. It’s been a long road the last 2 years helping Cujo stay mobile and pain-free enough for mild-moderate hikes. His favorite thing in the whole world is hiking, as is mine.

1 year ago, I had to abruptly move out of my second floor condo because Cujo had trouble climbing the steps. Currently, Cujo is partially immobile. He needs help getting up and will spend most of the day in one spot. He cannot walk more than a few feet. He fully tore about 7 days ago and has not ate anything since. He’s lost 10lbs because of his lack of appetite due to the pain.

I am asking friends and family to donate to help cover medical costs associated with both surgeries. Some may say he’s just a dog, but to me he’s my whole world. I don’t think I would have had the courage to move to Colorado by myself, or the courage to hike and camp, without him by my side.

No matter the amount donated, anything helps and all is very much appreciated. Thank you so much.
