Donate to help Dana Barbee with Medical Expenses

Please find it in your heart to help out a dear friend of mine, Dana Tomajko Barbee, with some medical expenses. As many of you know, this is Dana's second round at battling cancer. Dana just celebrated her 15th anniversary of being cancer-free this May. June of this year, she decided to get an MRI because she was experiencing some symptoms and for peace of mind. Unfortunately, something showed up on her scan and the biopsy revealed an aggressive form of Sarcoma. Because Dana's orriginal doctor was not covered by her insurance, he recommended her to see a head, neck, and skull base surgeon that studied under him in Columbus, Ohio. On July 29th, Dana underwent surgery at the James Cancer Hospital to remove a tumor in her sinus cavity. Dana's surgery went extremely well and they anticipated radiation only, however, post-op complications resulted her in the ER. She was then sent to the OR for uncontrolled bleeding. This second surgery revealed suspicious tissue which later confirmed that the tumor was already growing back. This news changed the course of her treatment. Her doctor's decided to initiate chemo along with her treatment as a double punch to the radiation. Because Dana's cancer is so aggressive and her treatment is so extensive, Dana will remain in Ohio to receive all her care. She has been out on leave from work since the end of July and will continue to be out till at least the end of the year.
