Donald Rowe is an amazing person who has dedicated his life to the Lord, his country and his family. He and his wife Jo have spent 44 happy years together and have two children and five grandchildren. He supported our wonderful nation for nearly 15 years in the US Army and later retired from the WV Department of Environmental Protection, where he worked with some fantastic people. Don and Jo were former long-time residents of Gilmer County, WV.
Don, a cancer survivor of 18 years, became ill in 2021 and has endured extensive testing and required multiple blood transfusions. He was later diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow for which his doctor says there is no cure.
In addition to all the testing and blood transfusions, Don has been taking weekly chemotherapy treatments (skipping every 4th week) since June 2022 and will continue this treatment regimen for as long as needed. The chemotherapy is working and will hopefully prolong his quality of life. He has the potential to be eligible for a bone marrow transplant.
This entire process has taken a toll on him physically and financially. Don has passed out on multiple occasions. He finds it very hard to rest, and he and his wife need a new mattress and other items to help ease Don's pain and discomfort during this devastating time. In addition, Don’s insurance does not cover the total cost of his medical bills and medicine, and the bills are stacking up. He has incurred thousands of dollars in medical bills, which will continue to increase significantly.
Don and Jo desperately need our help. Please donate generously on behalf of Don and his wife and share this request with others you know.
Above all, please pray for him and his family!
Also, if you would like to reach out to Don with a card or letter, It would make his day. His address is 303 Ferndale Dr., Charleston, WV 25302–4313.
May God bless you!
Thank you!
