Hello!
My name is Greg McEntire, and I’m seeking to raise funds for my good friend Eric Lenertz, who was in a motorcycle accident on October 2nd. (10th and Lewis heavy gravel and sand). As he turned out of his driveway, his back tire lost traction and caused his bike to slide out, turning over and knocking him out on the street. Eric’s left knee took much of the impact, forcing a dislocation and tearing his MPFL.
This has thrown his whole life upside down and has raised some financial challenges for Eric. He works full-time at American Waste Control as a Truck Driver and attends school Full-time at Oklahoma State here in Tulsa, Oklahoma finishing his degree in Public Health.
After deciding to invest in himself and build a better future, Eric decided to go back to school full-time at OSU. This meant that any savings he had were invested in this goal. He continued to work full-time, working unconventional hours as a truck driver with American Waste and going to class during the day. Through all this, Eric had his motorcycle rides to get outside, enjoy the feeling of peace, and connect with his father, who passed away in 2019. I know Eric will make it through this recovery, but he needs the help of a community. I want to help Eric due to the kindhearted nature he possesses.
I met Eric over six years ago, and he has become my brother. Eric has always been a great friend to Mason (My 5-year-old son) and me over the last six years I’ve known him. I met Eric a year before Mason was born, and we hit it off right away like we’ve been friends for years. Eric has always been kindhearted and wants what’s best for those around him. He is a great role model and always tries to do what he can for anyone he knows, whether meeting someone on the street to offer his time and comforting them in having a meaningful conversation with someone or in other ways of providing a helping hand.
After an MRI, he was told the dislocation of his knee caused the tearing of the MPFL (a tendon that wraps around the front of the thigh to the knee). This would require surgery (including replacing the ligament with a cadaver ligament) Immediately incapacitated and unable to work the physically demanding job that he loves, Eric spent a month at home on crutches awaiting surgery. In the last two months, he has exhausted all his finances covering the bills and living expenses. He is looking forward to starting Physical Therapy next month and making it to work by New Year
However, being off work for this long has put a lot of stress on him financially, and he needs help. I know he has been selling off what he can and has hit a dead end, so I am stepping in to try and help my friend.
I know it isn’t easy asking for help sometimes, but there comes a time we all need help in our life. I ask you to please consider donating to help provide some financial relief for Eric in this critical time of need. Any funds donated will be used to help Eric in this time of need paying for medical bills, rent, insurance, groceries, utilities and other bills.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering the cause of donating to help Eric. God Bless
