Donate to help Gene and Jane's father

As many of you know, Rev. Hong Hon Lee, father of Gene and Jane Lee, has been in a terrible car accident. He was in LA for his daughter Jane’s wedding when he along with Jane and their mother was rear-ended as they were pulling into rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Luckily, Jane and their mom were not critically injured but tragically for Rev. Lee, he suffered a spinal cord injury, leaving him quadriparetic. He is currently unable to feel his body and more importantly, breathe independently.

Many friends have asked how they can help (as Gene and Jane is not the one to ask) so I along with some close friends of Gene took the liberty to set this up to help lighten some of the financial burden as Rev. Lee is a Korean citizen with no medical insurance to cover his recovery here in the US.

The doctors who performed the surgery have stressed that the first three months of rehabilitation after surgery is the most critical to have any chance of getting control of his extremities in the future. 100% of the funds donated will be used for physical rehabilitation and recovery as out of pocket costs for each month is estimated to be $50,000. We’re hoping to at least cover one month.

More than anything, a heartfelt thank you for all the thoughts and prayers you all have been sending our dear friends Gene and Jane and their family. If you’re reading this, you’re a friend of Gene and Jane, and I know for a fact they genuinely appreciate all the love and support. And if you’re able to of course, it doesn’t matter how small or big, I know any amount will be deeply appreciated. Not only will this go a long way in navigating some of the financial burdens they face but I know what a deep message of love and care this will send their family.
