Donate to Help Hindu Temple in Need

Hello and Namaste, my name is Rachel and I have opened this fundraiser to support the Hari Om Shri Raadha Krishna Mandir, in Sacramento, California. On Monday, October 30th, 2023 around 2 A.M. our small temple was burglarized. The donation box kept inside the temple was stolen, and it contained donations from an important spiritual event that many Hindus in our community gathered to celebrate. These donations are used to support upcoming celebrations at the temple, and any community service the temple provides.

The Hari Om Shri Raadha Krishna Mandir was built to serve all members of the Sacramento community, not just Hindus. I can personally attest that Guru Indravijay Maharaj, and his wife, Guru Maa, are some of the most selfless and giving people I know. They welcome everyone with open arms and are always ready to help anyone with anything without bias and judgement.

The donations from this fundraiser will symbolize one of Hinduisms most important teachings: Light over Darkness. As humans, we are inevitably privy to the evil that navigates through our world, but as a community we can band together to show that no matter what, our faith is stronger than any sort of brutality that comes our way. Personally, in hopes to help repair damages due to the break-in, purchase of a new and more secure deposit box, I am also hoping that this fundraiser will help our community feel safe to return to the temple, especially with our most important celebration coming up: Diwaili, "The Festival of Lights".

The funds will be directly used to upgrade security around the property including: secure spiked fencing around the perimeter of the property which requires a city permit; 2 ADU units to house security/caretakers; security monitors and needed upgraded security system; and, new doors (4) to the temple that were vandalized and repairing the doorframes and surrounding foundation.

I am asking that everyone, from any background or faith, to please take a moment to support the Hari Om Shri Raadha Krishna Mandir (Temple), as a way to show that no matter our background, we will come together to shine light in dark times.
