Help Rabbi Trimm and his Wife (Losing our home)
Donation protected
We are fundraising to provide housing for my wife of over thirty years, Inga (Kitty) Trimm, and myself. My wife is disabled, chronically ill and suffers chronic pain, I am her stay-at-home caretaker, and also do research and publish free materials on the Hebrew and Aramaic origins of the "New Testament" and on the original Jewish followers of Yehsua ("Jesus").
We have just learned that the owner of the house which we have been renting for seven years, has decided not to renew the lease. At this point, we are not sure why (we have been good renters). It may be that the owner is looking to sell. At any rate, this is a big hardship on us. A move is going to be a big problem for us. Our options are limited. We have beloved dogs, which lend great emotional support to my wife, and with which she could never part. So rental options are limited (although some renters will allow pets). Moving out of the area is also a problem, as it would be difficult to replace me wife's medical team. It took us two years to find a specialist that would even take her as a patient, so we can't just move out of the area and replace him. .
At this point, our future is uncertain. I literally don't know where we will be living in two months. At this point we are just trying to raise every penny we can to deal with this problem. We are going to have to move, which will be a major expense in itself. We are going to have to put down a deposit before we get this one back (assuming we even get this one back). And we are going to have to pay rent on both places to have time to actually move from one to the other. And we may have to move everything to storage and find someplace to stay (with our dogs) and then move again. And of course, that would put my research, teaching and translation work on hold indefinitely, with no access to my library.
So we desperately need financial help. In the next three months because going to be a *major* expense.
Please donate whatever you can to help. We are going to have to put up a big deposit, pay movers (we are not in good enough health to move furniture and major appliances) and pay "double rent" (triple rent including the deposit) to allow a time period in which to move, plus "pet fees" for the new home. In the long term, we also need to raise money for a down payment, so we can buy, and settle down in a permanent home, and never have to deal with this again, plus save money in the long term, as rents continue to go up.
