Hi, we are Morgan and Brooke.

Recently we were told the gut-wrenching news that our 6-week-old baby girl has a hole in her heart and a narrowed pulmonary valve. Initially, doctors reassured us that the hole in Ivy's heart was small despite the prominent murmurs. However, a follow up cardiology appointment confirmed our greatest fear.

Ivy has been diagnosed with Fallots Tetrology and Double Chamber Right Ventricle - meaning the hole is actually large, the pulmonary valve is continuing to narrow, and our baby's heart is being forced to work even harder. Unfortunately, Ivy will now require open heart surgery within the next few months. As a result, we continue to work closely with specialists and dieticians from Lyell McEwin to ensure Ivy gains the weight needed for her to be operated on.

The surgery is set to be performed in Melbourne, at the Royal Childrens Hospital. We will need to remain in Victoria for a minimum of 2-3 weeks to ensure our baby girl is stable enough to come home safely.

Heart Kids do provide some financial support but with medical bills, accommodation expenses, mortgage, bills, etc., we are seeking the support of our community to help us get through this.
