Donate to help Jada Roussin pursue her Gymnastic Dreams
Hi, my name is Lori Gauthier and I am fundraising on behalf of my niece Jada Roussin. Jada has been invited to travel to Jamaica to meet with Jamaican coaches and officials. She will also compete in the Jamaica Gymnastics Classic 2024, allowing her the opportunity to showcase her talent.
This trip will serve as an introduction of Jada to Jamaican Gymnastics with the hopes of opening opportunities to represent the country in future competitions as a member of the Jamaican National Team. It will also bring her home to her family in Jamaica who have been strong supporters of her through her endeavors.
Jada was born and lived with her mother (Sheca) in Jamaica until the age of 4, while my brother (Larry) and Sheca went through the immigration process to have their family together here in Canada. As such, Jada holds duel citizenship as both a Canadian and a Jamaican citizen.
Jada has been training with Marian Gymnastics (Saskatoon) since she was five years of age, and entered their competitive program in 2017. She has been competing on a national stage since the age of ten. Jada has worked hard for eleven years, training and dedicating herself to her sport.
As many parents of athletes know, the dedication, motivation and perseverance it takes for a child to commit to the training required to reach an elite level is extraordinary and she has done so while also attending the SAGE gifted education program at Greystone Heights Elementary School and Walter Murray Collegiate. I am so proud of this young woman, and look forward to witnessing where her journey will take her.
Please help me raise funds to assist with the costs for the airfare to Jamaica, meals and hotel accommodations for Jada, a guardian and her coach.
If you are able, please help in making this trip a reality for Jada. Every amount is appreciated and will make a difference. Please share this post so we can spread the word.
With sincere thanks,
Lori Gauthier
