UPDATE: Today we received a bill for $2300 for insurance costs they didn't deduct from Jason's paycheck because he was on Worker's Compensation. If a person gets hurt at work...they will be punished repeatedly. I think some laws need changing! Communication!

Hello! I am the wife of Jason Sadler and not normally one to ask for help. However, on August 13, 2023 Jason was injured at work and was placed on Worker's Compensation Leave. Jason lost a major amount of income while off work because when you are injured on the job; the company doesn't pay your entire salary. That was hurdle #1; but we have cut back and been on a super tight budget to keep moving. But as many of you know, Jason is a Type I diabetic since he was 12 years old. He has to have insurance to stay alive and the company has taken his/our insurance away effective 02.29.24 and has advised we can elect Cobra. Cobra will be $2200 a month and we do not have that to pay. We have two children to provide for and have just landed in a hard spot. For those wondering, we asked all the right questions but we were given incorrect information about everything involving his benefits. We were also advised that Jason's FMLA ran concurrent with his workman's compensation and that his FMLA was exhausted on October 26th of last year but NOONE told us they were doing this (they were asked) and NOONE advised until February 2nd that this had even happened. Jason has been to see several physicians here in Jackson but ended up at The Campbells Clinic where they found severe damage and want to do further testing. We have no idea where the road will go or how it will end but we feel we are in good hands. I was asked to make this GoFundMe so here it is. The funds we receive will be used to pay for insulin and diabetic supplies for Jason and help with household bills. 2023 was a hard year for us but we remained vigilant. Please share our story and Thank you for taking the time to read this! Big love to all of you and God Bless!
