Donate to Help Justin and his family

Hi my name is Spencer and this is my mate Justin. I met Justin many years ago at work and since then we have grown to become great mates.

I thought if I was ever going to create a Go Fund Me for Justin it would be for some shoe inserts to make him taller. However recently Justin was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia; A rare form of cancer that affects the blood as well as the bone marrow. This devastating transformation from super healthy to hours away from death happened in an incredibly short time. Whilst there is a positive prognosis, it can change quickly, and he can be back to the start of this incredibly long healing process.

Justin, his wife Casey, and their son, Jayden, are still hurting with the recent loss of Casey’s Mum to COPD and with Justin’s Dad deteriorating from the debilitating cruel disease Multiple Sclerosis. With Justin assisting his Dad with his regular specialists’ appointments where he can, this makes an already tough time even more so.

Daily visits to the hospital are putting more pressure on keeping their small business open. Casey is the main source of income in their salon, and it has put immense pressure on their finances just trying to keep the doors open as well as pay wages etc. which is made more difficult by an auto immune disease, Lupus, continuing to inhibit Casey’s daily wellbeing where a common cold can hospitalize her for days.

Those that have had the privilege of meeting Justin in a social or work environment can attest to his intestinal fortitude and willingness to tackle challenges front on. His playful and often sarcastic sense of humour can bring a smile to any face in the room. I am certain he would prefer me to be purchasing those shoe inserts but at this stage helping them focus on the wellbeing of their family is more important.

As a friend to all of them, I would like to help this incredibly humble trio by alleviating some of the financial stress they are experiencing. They are not a family who reach out and ask for help, but they understand they have an army of supporters behind them willing to dig deep and will continue to for the long haul.

All money raised will help them pay down mounting debt and give them the ability to concentrate on supporting each other and to remain a tight family unit during Justin’s recovery.
