Help Kasen Spencer and Family
Donation protected
My family is fundraising for my nephew, Kasen Spencer, who suffered a gunshot wound to the back of his head on the night of May 3rd. Kasen was flown to Grand Junction, CO for an emergency surgery to remove a piece of his skull in order to relieve swelling; he was then flown to the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah for continuing trauma care. He is stable, on a ventilator and under sedation right now so his brain can heal and the swelling can continue to go down. These next few days will be very crucial.
Kasen is a 15-year-old aspiring Marine and also has dreams to be an MMA fighter. His life is forever changed and his family, Kailey (Mother), Brian (Father and US Marine Veteran) and older brother, Riley have a long journey ahead. For the foreseeable future, they will need to support Kasen out of state, in SLC and also continue to maintain their household in the meantime.
There are many unknowns as to what lies ahead for Kasen, but there are future procedures needed, extensive hospital stays and the need to hire legal representation to help bring accountability to those responsible and justice for Kasen. His case is an active and open investigation, with many details unknown.
All proceeds will go directly to Kasen and his family in his long and strenuous road to recovery and rehabilitation. Thank you so much for supporting their family and sharing this with anyone who may be able to help.
