Donate to help Kaye Woodke

In late December, Kaye was diagnosed with Grade 1 Endometrial Adenocarcinoma (Uterine Cancer). Kaye had her first appointment with her oncologist and care team at UW Madison on 1/25. At that appointment, it was determined that she would need to have a hysterectomy to remove the cancer. This will be a major surgery, and she will need to be off of work for at least 4 weeks if not longer. After surgery, they will be able to stage the cancer and see how far (if at all) it has spread. The staging process will determine if any further therapy like radiation or chemo is needed. The hope is that the cancer was caught early, but we won’t know until the follow-up appointment.

Kaye was unable to qualify for short-term disability, and will not be getting paid during her time off. She also will need to keep paying for her part of her benefits at work so that she can keep her health insurance.

Kaye is a ray of sunshine in the Boscobel community and has gone through a lot in the last couple of years. She is always willing to help others and has supported the community by being on the school board and is on the board of directors for the Boscobel Education Foundation. I am hoping we can pull together to support her in her time of need. Donations will help offset her medical bills as well as her time spent off work.
